Hotel Villa Calakmul

Nice new hotel. Large clean room, with comfortable beds and a good shower. A quiet location, with a safe parking space and within walking distance of various restaurants. Friendly, helpful owners. Free coffee. Excellent price / quality ratio.

Huge, beautiful, clean and comfortable room. Nice roof terrace where we enjoyed the cool breeze. Breakfast was great, but you have to request it. Loads to do in the area, Becan, and 2 other local ruins, Calakmul and the fabulous bat cave. We did a tour with Giobany Guia, who was great fun and very good. We stayed 3 nights.

Big, bright, spacious, clean room. Many rooms in this town are damp/moldy, but this place is nice and clean! Wifi pretty good, worked perfectly with my laptop, not as well for my iphone for some reason. Can't complain overall. Mother and son were very nice at the front desk.

Simple accommodation, but very helpful and friendly hosts. The hotel is almost new and is located in a quiet street. The rooms are quite large, but not very comfortable furnished. Free coffee / water and fridge available at the reception. Various smaller restaurants are only about 10 minutes walk away. Well suited for a stop before or after a trip to Calakmul (2 hours by car). You can park on the premises or just in front of it (all safe). Wifi worked good in the room. Good price for value.

This place is great. Ugnore the American reviews that think this s hotel in Cancun or something. This is nice accommodation for if your staying to visit the nearby bat caves, national park, and local ruins. The local ruins are right within a 4 minute walk! Highly recommend and local guide is great. The hotel had great AC....very nice bed and was huge size room! It is very quite as it is set back from the road. There are three great local restaurants in the area! The one across the local ruins is great and also the other one within two minute walk on the right side of the main road. Staff was very freindly and helpful. Good building security as well. If your visiting this cool little town this is the place to be!

The room is HUGE!!! I estimate 6x7 meters, they could have easily divided it into two separate rooms, but they didn’t, so it’s huge! So is the bed! Hotel is very clean and new, serves all basic soaps and toilet paper, etc, and free parking on the premises. What I also personally liked was the bathroom sink outside of the bathroom, so you can brush your teeth or freshen up while your roommate is on the toilet. Also comes with a nice seating area on the roof to play games as there is not much to do in the village itself. We stayed in room 8, very glad we chose this as our launching place to visit Calakmul in the morning. Highly recommend it.

Very nice, clean, inexpensive, comfortable beds, air conditioner worked great and was quiet. Quiet location a block off of the main highway. The stairway to the second floor is a little steep so be aware of that if you have physical limitations. Would definitely stay here again. There are restaurants within easy walking distance.

This place as a great location and very clean. Service is excellent too. Free water to fill water bottles and have some boiling I guess for tea . We bought our own water and coffee pot we got double room very spacious had toiletries towels, hot water and a blanket for beds. Very quiet. Enjoyed my stay for three nights. Price was what you would expect.
